What is a coupon code?

A coupon code allows you to save money on an online purchase. During the checkout process, many websites have a box where you can enter a short phrase of some kind (e.g., SAVE5, FALL25OFF) and a discount is applied to your purchase. Be aware that coupon codes are also commonly referred to as promotional codes.

Often a code will have limitations or excluded items just the same as printable coupons. Be sure to read all the fine print to make sure your purchase qualifies.
